Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice President of the Commission, announced today the appointment of 17 new Heads of EU Delegations in the framework of the regular rotation for this year.
Jan Tombinski has been appointed as Head of the EU Delegation to the Holy See, to the UN Organizations in Rome and to the Republic of San Marino. He is currently serving as Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine.
Hugues Mingarelli until recently served as Senior Adviser on Global Strategy and European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) Review Implementation within the European External Action Service, the announcement said.
European Commissioner on Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn earlier announced that Mingarelli would begin work in Ukraine early in September 2016.
