In September, inflation in Ukraine was 1.8%, compared to deflation of 0.3% in August, as reported by the State Statistics Service on 7 October.
According to the State Statistics Service (excluding the temporarily occupied parts of the Crimea and Donbas), the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages rose 0.3%, for clothes and footwear - by 10.3%, for housing and communal services - by 3.7%, to services related to health - by 0.6%, education - by 5.3%.

June 2016 saw a 0.2% decrease of consumer prices (deflation) over May. In August, consumer prices fell 0.3%, January-August inflation was 4.5%.
In 2015, prices rose 43.3%. The official inflation forecast for 2016 was about 12%.
