Kyiv's Shevchenko District Court placed on Saturday, December 3, the former COB of the bank Mykhailivskyy Ihor Doroshenko under house arrest.
The ruling was in response to investigators' request, the judge said.
UNN agency claimed the court ordered "night house arrest".
Doroshenko was detained on 12 August on suspicion of embezzling 870m hryvnia in investors' money and bringing the bank Mykhailivskyy to bankruptcy. In August, Shevchenko district court extended the arrest with 137.8m bail hryvnia to 7 December.
Mikhailivskyy's bankruptcy was one of the resonant in the Ukrainian financial market last year. Its investors keep holding a series of protests in Kyiv. On 15 November, the Verkhovna Rada endorsed the bill, regulating the principles for the protection of defrauded depositors of banks.
