"The ruling of an Amsterdam district court means that not only the "Scythian gold" is Ukrainian. It also means that Crimea is Ukrainian. Period," President Petro Poroshenko wrote on Facebook on 14 December.
The posting came on the hills of a Dutch court decision to return artifacts from Crimea that was on loan to a Dutch museum when Russia seized the peninsula must be returned to Ukraine and not Crimea.
