Ukrainian chess player Vasyl Ivanchuk became the champion in rapid chess.
Before the last round at the World Rapid Chess Championship in Doha, five GMs had 10 points.
Ivanchuk finished with victory and won the tournament on additional coefficients, beating, among others, world champion Magnus Carlsen.
Ivanchuk got 11 points after 15 matches, the same number of points at the Russian Alexander Grischuk and Carlsen, who came in second and third place, respectively.
A few hours earlier Ukrainian Anna Muzychuk became a world champion in rapid chess among women.
