Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in the anti-terrorist operation zone in Donbas in the past day, Defense Ministry spokesman on ATO Col. Oleksandr Motuzianyk told a briefing 19 January.
"No Ukrainian servicemen died in the hostilities over the past day," he said.
Motuzianyk said ten shelling incidents were observed in the Luhansk sector, including six with use of heavy weapons. The militants attacked Ukrainian army positions in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska and Popasna district.
The Donetsk sector saw seven attacks.
"In the Mariupol sector, the enemy shelled Slavne and Novotroyitske, and pounded ATO positions near Talakivka and Pavlopil.
The number of attacks in the area was at 20, including two from heavy weapons, Motuzyanyk said.
