The dead body of a border guard was discovered at the Ukrainian-Polish border in Lviv Region on Friday morning, ZAXID.NET reported.
An aide of the Chief of the Western regional management Border Service Volodymyr Sheremet confirmed this information.
He said the deceased was 30 years old.
CIS experts are investigating into the circumstances and cause of death.
Last December, a border guard was wounded in the shelling of the temporary border checkpoint Stanytsya Luhanska in the ATO zone in Donbas.
