From midnight to 6 p.m. Kyiv times, pro-Russian militants launched 66 attacks on the positions of the antiterrorist operation (ATO) forces, killing two and wounding five Ukrainian troops, the ATO HQ said in its regular evening update on 3 February.

In the Donetsk sector, the militants shelled Halitsynivka with Grad BM-21 multiple launch rocket systems. Avdiyivka, Luhanske and Troyitske were pounded with 152-mm and 122-mm artillery, 120-mm and 82-mm mortars. There were repeat tank fire attacks on Pisky and Luhanske.

In the Mariupol sector, they fired with Grads, 152-mm and 122-mm artillery on Talakivka, with 120-mm and 82-mm mortars on Vodyane, Krasnohorivka, Novotroyitske, Lebedynske, Pavlopil, Shyrokyne, Maryinka and Chermalyk, and with grenade launchers on Hnutove. A sniper was active near Pavlopil. An infantry fighting vehicle was used against Vodyane, an anti-tank missile system against Chermalyk, and a tank against Shyrokyne.

In the Luhansk sector, the separatists used 152-mm artillery against Novozvanivka, 120-mm and 82-mm mortars against Troyitske, Popasna and Novozvanivka, and grenade launchers against Krymske.
