The US Embassy in Ukraine has said that Ukraine needs to establish an anticorruption court without delay.
"The need to establish independent anti-corruption #court is clear and growing more urgent," embassy said in a tweet on 6 March
The diplomatic mission also hails the call of Ukrainians for a transparent judicial process: "Inspiring to see Ukrainian civil society in action calling for effective and transparent judicial process."
The statement of the embassy was in response to the news that a district court in Kiev for two days in a row could not decide on a preventive measure for the suspended head of the State Fiscal Service, Roman Nasirov, who is facing gross embezzlement charges.
Anticorruption courts are a separate branch of the judiciary, whose rulings can only be challenged by the Supreme Court.
