Poroshenko rules out early parliamentary elections
"I want to the opposition to know: I will not give them any early elections."
President Petro Poroshenko will not declare an early parliamentary election. "Under the Constitution of Ukraine, the decision on early parliamentary elections and the dissolution of the parliament is taken solely by the President. I want the opposition to cool down and I stress that I will not give them any early elections that Russia is so interested in," Poroshenko said.
The incumbent parliament was elected in autumn 2014. Regular elections should be held only in 2019.
