Over the past day, militants armed units 23 times violated ceasefire in Donbas. They twice used multiple rocket launchers, eight times used mortars of various calibers, and one time – 122-mm artillery. The ATO forces on 14 occasions returned fire using infantry weapons.
Two Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in combat, the press center of the ATO said in a Facebook release on Monday, 6 November.
The terrorists were most active in the second half of the day in the vicinity of Donetsk, where they fired multiple rocket fire systems for several hours on the positions of the Ukrainian army near Avdiyivka and Opytne. At night, they shelled the southeastern outskirts of Avdiyivka with 82-mm mortars and heavy machine guns. With the onset of twilight, pro-Russian mercenaries twice shelled the defenders of Pisky.
"At first, the enemy was shooting 120- and 82-mm mortars, and at about 22:00 employed 122-mm artillery," the headquarters noted.
In the Luhansk sector, the strong points of the ATO forces in the area of Novotoshkivske have been pounded from 120-mm, and from 82-mm mortars and IFV weapons – near Novooleksandrivka. In addition, the militants three times fired grenade launchers fired at the approaches to Luhansk in the evening.
In the coastal sector, terrorists used anti-tank grenade launchers in the area of Vodyane.
The US State Department Special Envoy for Ukraine Kurt Volker said that Russia has full control of what is happening in Donbas.
