Novoluhanske shelled from Gradі, eight civilians injured

Lots of civilian houses damaged.

Russian occupation troops in Donbas on Monday heavily shelled Novoluhanske from multiple launch rocket systems at around 5 pm Kyiv time. "Unfortunately, there are victims among the civilian population. Many residential buildings in Novoluhanske damaged or destroyed," the ATO headquarters said in Thursday report.

Measures are being taken to evacuate local residents and localize fires that have arisen as a result of the shelling.

In a later report, the ATO HQ reported that at least 30 rockets had been fired at Novoluhanske from Horlivka on the opposite side. Two civilian women were taken to the intensive care unit. Three houses are on fire, two more are heavily damaged.

Also, Russian occupants and their proxies fired mortars at the ATO strongholds near Novotoshkivske, Krymske, Novoluhanske and Kurdyumivka, and pounded the outskirts of Svitlodarsk from the IFV weapons and grenade launchers.

In the Donetsk sector, the situation deteriorated in the area of Pisky where the enemy for more than two hours have fired 122-mm artillery, heavy mortars and the entire range of infantry weapons. In this area alone, the enemy released over 110 projectiles. The enemy also shelled the Ukrainian defenders of Avdiyivka and Vodiane, and fired infantry weapons at ATO troops stationed in Taramchuk

Overall, the terrorist forces have carried out 12 shelling attacks at the positions of the ATO forces from midnight to dawn.

Head of the Donetsk regional military-civil administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyy on Facebook said that two women were taken to a hospital in a state of moderate severity.

There is a risk of another shelling attack on the village. People are warned and are in hiding.

In a later report, Zhebrivsky said that 22 Novoluhanske houses were damaged and seven set on fire. Six people were wounded, including one woman wounded in the eye. She is in serious condition. The shelling continues.

Soon after the midnight, local authorities said that the shells hit a school, a kindergarten and an outpatient clinic. Half of Novoluhanske is de-energized due to damage to power lines.

A gas pipeline is partially damaged by shelling.
