Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland in her Twitter microblog on Thursday, 25 January, pledged an "unwavering support" of Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.
Freeland said she was pleased to participate in the Ukrainian Breakfast in Davos and to speak with President Petro Poroshenko.
Last December, Freeland visited Ukraine and discussed with President Poroshenko steps on the deployment of a UN peacekeeping mission in Donbas. They discussed the escalation in Donbas, provoked by the violation of the ceasefire by the pro-Russian militants, including the shelling of civilian objects.
Special attention was paid to Russia's intentions to undermine the implementation of the Minsk agreements, in particular, by withdrawing from the JCCC.
