Police detained one of the senior managers of the Kharkiv passenger railway station and his intermediary when they were accepting a kickback of 350,000 hryvnyas (13,400 dollars).
He allegedly demanded a kickback for unblocking a money transfer under the existing contract on cleaning services at the station, according to the website of the Kyiv prosecutor's office.
Polza 52 Ltd was selected the winner in the tender for cleaning services at the Kharkiv station. It offered its services for 3.212m hryvnyas. The contract was signed on 12 July 2017.
