Gas supply has been restored to Avdiyivka via the new gas pipeline Ocheretyane-Avdiyivka, which was built instead of the Makiyivka-Avdiyivka pipeline damaged in the summer of 2017, the Donetsk regional gas distribution company (Donetskoblhaz) has said on its website.
Efforts to restore gas supply to neighboring settlements will begin on 21 August.
The head of the Donetsk regional state administration, Oleksandr Kuts, said on Facebook that Avdiyivka and seven villages of Yasynuvata District (Krasnohorivka, Orlivka, Totenke, Vodyane, Pervomayske and Netaylove) have been without gas since 7 June 2017 after the Makiyivka-Avdiyivka pileine was damaged.
