This morning unidentified attackers threw bottles with an incendiary mixture at the door to the foundation of the iconic St Andrew's Church in Kyiv.

The building was not damaged but one of the priests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate (UOC KP) was injured by the attackers who used force and gas spray against him.

"Moscow's puppets are trying to send 'clear signals' to intimidate representatives of the Ecumenical Patriarchate to which St Andrew's Church is being handed over for representative purposes. However, as His Holiness Bartholomew wisely told Muscovites in the face: 'The Ecumenical Patriarchate does not threaten anyone and does not take threats," UOC KP spokesman Yevstratiy (Zorya) said.
