Kyiv Boryspil airport has resumed operation after a brief suspension as a result of concerns about air pollution.

"According to State Emergencies Service experts' conclusions, we would like to let you know that the quality of air at Boryspil airport meets acceptable standards," the airport's press service has said.

Earlier this evening, the press service said that volatile hazardous substances were released into the air during the spraying of fields in the area with ammonia-containing substances.

Flights were suspended for the period of an examination by State Emergencies Service experts.
