Health Minister Maksym Stepanov has said that Ukraine is about to reach the peak of coronavirus infection, therefore it is early to speak about ending the quarantine.
"We are all united now by a common task - to stop the spread of coronavirus infection in Ukraine. The president, the government and the entire healthcare system are working to slow down the spread of coronavirus. We make the necessary decisions, find the money, and approve the algorithms for doctors' work. All state institutions are involved in solving the problem. Business and volunteers are being proactive and deserve special gratitude," Stepanov said in a video address.
He recalled that the rules of the quarantine had been tightened since the beginning of the week and urged Ukrainians to respect them, or else the health care will become overburdened by the inflow of patients and will not be able to cope.
