There have been 1,668 confirmed cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus in Ukraine by 9 a.m. on 8 April, the Health Ministry has reported. This includes 52 lethal cases and 35 recoveries.
A record-high daily increase in the number of cases, 206, has been registered over the past 24 hours.

The tests were carried out by a virus reference-laboratory of the Public Health Centre of Ukraine and regional laboratories. Since the beginning of 2020, they have checked 7,205 suspected coronavirus cases.
