Scoop of the day: More alleged Surkov-Medvedchuk talks leaked

The Obozrevatel website has published another three recordings allegedly featuring conversations between pro-Russian Ukrainian MP Viktor Medvedchuk and former Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov. The two appear to be discussing contacts with the so-callled defence minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic, Volodymyr Kononov, corrupt schemes in occupied Donbas and the creation of a "council of cities".


On the morning of 15 March, Ukraine registered 6,792 new Covid-19 cases, most of them in Zhytomyr, Lviv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Vinnytsya regions. Some 130 people died.

Chief sanitary officer Viktor Lyashko contracted Covid-19 13 days after getting the first dose of vaccine. He explained that the immunity had not formed in full yet.


The occupying troops have violated the ceasefire in Donbas four times since midnight, the Joint Forces Operation HQ said in the evening update.

They fired with an 82-mm mortar near Verkhnyotoretske, a handheld anti-tank grenade launcher near Hnutove, heavy machine guns near Vodyane and automatic mounted grenade launchers near Pivdenne.


Ukraine's new ambassador to Ukraine, Oksana Markarova, has said in an interview with that securing US visa-free travel for Ukrainians is her dream. She admiteed that this would be a "very long and complicated story", which would first require developing and implementing a roadmap, the way it was with the EU.

According to Markarova, Ukraine wants the USA to be involved in the Normandy format of negotiations on Donbas. She noted that it would be up to the USA to decide in what form this could be done.

MP Oleksandr Dubinskyy has been expelled from the Servant of the People party for violation of the statute and defiance of the party's managing bodies, the party's press service has reported.
