According to a survey conducted by the Institute for Social Research and Market IBRiS 74% of Polish consider the probability of Russia's attack on Poland "high" or "medium"; the poll was conducted on 25 February 2022, the second day of Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
This was reported by "Yevropeyska Pravda" with reference to Onet.pl.
IBRiS asked the Polish: "On a scale of 0 to 10, how high would you assess the risk that Poland could be directly attacked by Russia?" "0" meant that there was no such a possibility, and "10" meant that an attack on Poland would take place.
More than 25% of respondents answered as "low risk or no risk" of such a scenario. However, every second respondent (51% in total) notes "medium risk". Also, more than 23% of respondents feel the risk is "high or very high".

It is important to mention that among respondents aged 18 to 29, as many as 65% consider the risk of an attack to be "high or very high".
People with higher education tend to believe more in high risk of Russia's attack on Poland (29%) than those with primary education (12%). There is also a difference in evaluation between opposition voters (29% consider it a high risk probability) and the ruling party (13%).
Let us remind you that according to a poll conducted in the beginning February 60% of Europeans supported the defense of Ukraine by the EU and NATO in case of Russian invasion. The study was conducted in seven countries by the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR).
After Russian army attacked Ukrainian cities, the EU supports Ukraine and for the first time will provide lethal weapons to a third country for worth 450m euros. The European Union will also reinforce the sanctions against the Kremlin.
