According to the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection, the occupiers hit the broadcaster's hardware on the TV tower. Due to this, there will be no TV channels for some time. But in the near future, the backup broadcast of some channels will be enabled.
Fortunately, none of the employees were injured.
The RRT concern is taking measures to restore broadcasting in the regions. Backup broadcasting will be enabled soon. Currently, Ukrainian television can be watched on the regional Multiplex MX-5.
Ukrainians are advised to use channel search on their TV to access regional channels.
Update. There were two blows. The occupiers struck not only the Kyiv TV tower, but also Babyn Yar, where thousands of victims of World War II are buried.
"Russia has launched a missile attack on the territory where the Babin Yar memorial complex is located. These villains are killing Holocaust victims for the second time," said Andriy Yermak, chief of the president's office.
Update 17:58. The Kyiv TV tower was damaged as a result of two missiles, according to preliminary information, the Kyiv City State Administration said. The transformer substation, which supplies electricity to the TV tower, as well as the hardware on the TV tower itself are damaged.
Earlier, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov warned Ukrainians about the plans of the occupiers to cut off communications and announce the surrender of the Ukrainian government. It was reported that the Russian occupiers are preparing to launch a large-scale information and psychological operation in the near future. Its goal is to break the resistance of the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian army with the help of lies.
