In Chernihiv, soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine detained two Russian occupiers. Mayor Vladyslav Atroshenko paid them the promised reward.
The mayor announced it in a comment to LB.
"Our National Guard captured two Russian soldiers. I saw these prisoners. These are their documents and a receipt for receiving $ 600 for them. I understand that I overpaid," the mayor said.
Leonid Shchetkin, whom Ukrainian defenders captured near Chernihiv, is the commander of the tank battalion of the 35th Motorized Rifle Brigade. In this battle, several Russian tanks were captured unharmed - they will serve Ukraine.
On 1 March, Chernihiv Mayor Vladyslav Atroshenko announced bonuses to those who would destroy enemy equipment or the occupiers themselves. The prize amount is from 150 to 250 thousand hryvnyas for the equipment and 300 dollars for one captured occupier.
