The message was published on the Facebook page of Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

“We are talking about reaching out to the international community to take the neccesary measures of closing the air space for the agressor state, ceasing access to sea ports and stopping Russia’s membership in international organisations. Addressees include world’s biggest and most influential in the fields of air, sea and railway transport, construction and tourism organisations,” the message states.

The appeal is directed towards:

  • International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA);

  • Airports Council International (ACI);

  • UN World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO);

  • International Union of Railways (UIC);

  • International Civil Aviation Organization, (ICAO);

  • UK Department for Transport;

  • UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE);

  • Danube Commision;

  • International Air Transport Association (IATA);

  • US Federal Aviation Administration;

  • International Transport Forum (ITF).

The Ministry stresses that “the world is closing airspace for Russian planes. EU, Canada, USA, Finland and others have done it. UK and Canada have closed their ports for Russian vessels and related businesses. Belgian ports don’t work with Russian cargo, and Turkey has closed Bosphore and Dardanelles straits for battleships”.

World’s biggest companies are joining the boycott of the aggressor state.

“Particularly, Maersk, the Danish shipping company, temporarily cancels all the container deliveries to and from Russia. DHL and FedEx, the logistic companies, have stopped delivering the goods to and from Russia. ‘These steps are already becoming a powerful attack on enemy’s economy”, the Ministry emphasized.
