The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, reminded the capital's residents that a curfew is in place in the city from 20:00 - only vehicles with special passes from the Military Commander may operate.

In his address, Klitschko went on to say that after the curfew ends from 07:00, Pivnichnyy and Darnytskyy bridges will be open, connecting the left and right banks for private and public transport. There will be no passage across the Pivdenyy Bridge.

"Attention! If there is no extreme need, you should not travel to the city by private transport," the Mayor stressed.

Klitschko also said that Kyiv continues to collect and distribute humanitarian aid. The humanitarian headquarters for the city has put in place logistics and is both accepting and requesting help.

"I especially want to thank the volunteers! Today they are gathering help and delivering it to those in need; they are preparing lunches for defenders from territorial defense units. This is vital! Thank you also to the businesses that have responded and offered what they can to help. Kievans, Ukrainians! You are all patriots of your land. Warm-hearted, charitable and brave! Ukraine will be free and European! We will win, although it will be difficult!" the Mayor of the capital said.

"Even before curfew, people are at home or in shelters. This is important today because the situation is difficult. Several shells have hit courtyards in parts of the city. No one was killed or injured, thank God but several cars caught fire. One of the police station buildings in Podilskyi district was damaged. Fighting continues near Kyiv in Bucha, Irpin and Hostomel. The enemy is trying to break into the capital but Ukrainian defenders maintain the defense and are keeping the occupiers’ approach at bay," the Mayor added.

As a reminder, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian army aims to block Kyiv from the north and north-west. Russian armed forces are trying to continue the offensive on the borders of Horenychi, Hostomel and Demydiv.
