Russia has been suspended from participating in the Council of the Baltic Sea States. Member States have voted unanimously in favor. This was reported by Evropeiska Pravda.

Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Anniken Huitfeldt said that "it is sad that Russia has created a situation where we, the other 11 members, can no longer consider it possible to support cooperation with Russia."

In addition, Belarus, which has observer status in the CBSS, has also been suspended from participating in the CBSS. Ukraine has observer status as well.

For now, the current members of the CBSS are Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Sweden and the European Union.

As previously reported, yesterday a Romanian plane disappeared from radars near the Black Sea, around Constanta. The helicopter that went in search of the plane also disappeared.
