Putin threatens Ukraine with loss of statehood

Lb.ua informed that Russian President Putin, during his speech on the channel "Russia 24", has said that if Ukraine "continues to behave in the same way," it will "question the future of its statehood."

"Today's leadership in Kyiv must understand that if they keep behaving the same way, they will question the future of Ukrainian statehood, and if that happens, it will be entirely on their conscience," he said.

According to him, there are attempts to "shake up Russian society."

Putin also said sanctions against Russia "are similar to a declaration of war, but this has not happened yet".

He also threatened countries that could respond to Ukraine's request to close the skies to Russian aircraft, saying Russia would consider any other attempt by other countries to establish a no-fly zone over Ukraine as part of hostilities.

On 5 March, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov appealed to the international community to close the skies over Ukraine.

According to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov, Russian troops are demoralized, often refusing to fight because of many casualties.
