Ukraine and Russia will hold the third round of negotiations on 7 March, a member of the Ukrainian delegation and head of the pro-presidential Servant of the People parliamentary faction, Davyd Arakhamiya, has said on Facebook.

Arakhamiya did not provide any other details.

Russia invaded Ukraine on 24 February 2022.

The second round of negotiations with Russia turned out to be fruitless. The sides only touched upon humanitarian issues, such as safe corridors for the evacuation of civilians.

"The sides concurred on providing joint support for humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians, as well as for the delivery of medicines and foodstuffs in the areas of most fierce fighting with the possibility - I emphasise: with the possibility! - of a temporary ceasefire for the duration of the evacuation in the sectors where it is taking place. That is, not everywhere, but in those places where there will be humanitarian corridors, there might be a ceasefire for the period of evacuation," an adviser to the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Mykhaylo Podolyak, said after the second round of talks.

On 28 February, the Ukrainian delegation held the first round of negotiations with Russia's representatives near the Ukrainian-Belarusian border.

Arakhamiya said before the talks that they would go either in the right direction or "in the direction of a Russian warship". The sides "identified a number of priority issues for which certain solutions were mapped".
