On 5 March 2022, at the entrance to Mykolayiv, the National Guard and the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed an armored military vehicle of the occupiers and captured four Russian spies, as reported by the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In particular, on 5 March 2022, at about 11:00 during checkpoint combat at the entrance to Mykolayiv, an armored car of the occupiers ("Tiger") was destroyed.
The soldiers managed to capture four militaries of the Russian Federation from the reconnaissance group (one of them an officer). The prisoners were handed over to SSU (Security Service of Ukraine) officers.
We should recall that the night on 5 March 2022 in the Mykolaiv Region was relatively quiet; it was reported by the Head of the Mykolaiv Region State Administration, Vitaliy Kim. On the evening of 4 March 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine took over the Kulbakine military airfield on the outskirts of Mykolayiv and raised the state flag of Ukraine there.
