Russian troops deliberately shelled from 122-caliber mortars bridge in Irpin, Kyiv Oblast, through which civilians were tried to evacuate from the city. 

It was reported by Radio Svoboda, TSN correspondent Oleksandr Motornyy and journalist Andriy Dubchak. 

"Mortar shelling began in Irpen, the occupiers started firing 122-millimeter mines in the direction of the crossing. People began to hide, but there were many children, the elderly. The military and territorial defense fighters tried to take them in their arms and carry them. At least a dozen and a half mortar volleys were heard at intervals of 2-3 minutes. Unfortunately, half an hour ago one of the mines fell where people were - they had already crossed the passage at that time, four people were killed, including two children." - the correspondent of UE quotes.

The journalist urged citizens do not to go in the direction of Stoyanka.

Furthermore, the civilians` cars came under direct fire when they were trying to leave. According to Motornyy, the day before the Russians fired on a car of volunteers, killing three people.

According to journalist Dubchak, on the morning of March 6, a family died under the enemy fire - a girl, a boy, a mother. A father was seriously injured.

It should be reminded that the Russian occupiers blew up the evacuation train yesterday and damaged the railway tracks in Irpen city near Kyiv. After that, it was decided to evacuate people by bus.
