More than 2.8bn hryvnyas in foreign currency were received from abroad.

As of March 5, the special account for the needs of the Ukrainian Army received almost 10bn hryvnyas. 

This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister's Office for European and Euro-Atlantic integration. 

“In particular, more than 2.8bn hryvnyas were received from abroad in foreign currency (US dollars, euros, pounds, Canadian dollars, Chinese renminbi, Japanese yen, Swiss francs, Polish zlotys, Australian dollars),” - the press service of the Office.

The National Bank has already transferred more than 5.7bn hryvnyas to the needs of the National Guard, the National Police, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense. 

“The balance of the special account currently amounts 4.3bn hryvnyas,” - the Deputy Prime Minister's Office for European and Euro-Atlantic integration said.

Both accounts are multi-currency, created and opened for the transfer of funds from international partners and donors - in foreign currency (US dollars, euros, British pounds), as well as from Ukrainian businesses and citizens - in national currency, the press service added.
