The air defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down two enemy aircraft over Kyiv.
This was announced by The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi on his Facebook page.
“AD of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down a Russian Air Force plane over Kyiv at 20:30 (8:30 PM). At 21:20 (9:20 PM) another plane was shot down in air combat on the outskirts of the city”, Zaluzhnyi wrote.
Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko posted on his Telegram that Ukrainian soldiers shot down an enemy missile near Obuhiv at the same time.
“This is aerobatics! Our heroic pilot has now saved dozens, maybe hundreds of lives of Ukrainians. The missile warhead fell into a field 5 km from Obukhiv ... Imagine how much grief it would be if this Nazi missile exploded in the city?!”, said Gerashchenko.
Today, on March 7, the air defense forces shot down a Russian bomber in the area of Popasna in the Donbas as earlier reported.
