The mayor of Enerhodar Dmytro Orlov addressed the residents and asked them not to be surprised if someone in the street gives them a bunch of flowers. “Many women don’t accept any congratulations. The most desirable congratulations now are on peace in Ukraine! And there definitely will be peace on our land!” Orlov writes. “In the current realities, for you to have at least a little reason to smile, Edel Flowers company and their Dutch partner Jan de Wit en Zonen B.V. grew 35 thousand flowers near Enerhodar and delivered them today to the women for free! So don’t be surprised if someone in the street gives you a spring bunch of flowers, or if your colleagues bring you one. May everything be Ukraine!”
As a reminder, there are Russian forces in Enerhodar, but the Ukrainian city administration is working. On 3 March, Russians were shooting at Enerhodar and Zaporizhzhia power plant situated in the city. As a result, there was a fire on the territory of the plant. The staff wasn’t hurt. Three Ukrainian defenders died, two were wounded.
