As of Tuesday morning, the enemy continues its offensive against Ukraine, but the pace of its troops has slowed significantly. Nevertheless, the Defense Forces continue to conduct a defense operation within the Southern, Eastern and Northern operational zones at the defined boundaries. The General Staff reported this on the official Facebook page.
“The heroic defense of Chernihiv continues in the Siverskyy direction. The Kyiv defense forces continue to defend the capital along the outer border of the defense and in additional areas.
In the Southern operational zone, the defensive operation along the state border is carried out, and the sea coast is covered; defensive fights in suburbs of Mykolaiv are conducted. Stabilization operations are underway in other areas, and territorial defense carries out tasks in the designated operational zone,” the General Staff said.
At the same time, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully repulses missile and airstrikes and means of air attack of the enemy; aircovers critical objects of Ukraine and troops' units. As a result, the General Staff said the occupiers are demoralized and are increasingly looting and violating the rules of international humanitarian law on military conflicts.
“ Facts of robberies, violence against residents, seizure of civilian housing, use of agricultural hangars to park military equipment, and firing positions in the areas and objects of civil infrastructure are widely recorded in Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kyiv oblasts, in the territories temporarily occupied by the Russian occupiers,”- it is told in the message.
The General Staff notes that in the territories of Kherson and Mykolayiv regions, temporarily occupied by the enemy, after February 24, 2022, the occupiers use units of psychological struggle to influence the local population. According to the available information, up to 10 tactical groups of psychological battle with the tasks of conducting propaganda work with the local people have been created.
“The occupiers are intimidating the population of the northern part of the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea with the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, the FSB is setting up operational groups to work with the population.
