On the night of 8 March, the Russian army again shelled Bucha town, Kyiv region. The town is under siege as reported by the mayor of Bucha Anatoly Fedoruk while on air of the Rada TV channel.

“In fact, it has been the seventh day since Bucha, Vorzel, and Hostomel were held hostage by Russian troops from the very beginning of the war. Our Armed Forces made some attempts and actually drove the Russian troops out, but a day later they recaptured the town and entrenched themselves. They have control over the main streets in our region and sweep them with fire. They do not allow residents to leave their homes for those short periods when guns are not fired and there is no shelling. They are shooting at streets," Fedoruk said.

According to the mayor, the Bucha residents cannot buy water, food, there is no power supply. People are hiding in basements, there is almost no connection with them.

Fedoruk said that the dogs were actually dragging out the bodies of the dead.

As reported earlier, the Russian invaders are blocking humanitarian aid from reaching civilians in Kyiv region.
