The first deputy chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Social Policy, MP Jean Beleniuk, visited the “Avangard” sports center in Kyiv, where he played basketball as a child.
The athlete explained that he used to play basketball and wrestle simultaneously. Now the sports center is destroyed because of the “Russian world.”
“I wish all the athletes from Russia, who keep being silent and some of whom, the craziest ones (or corrupt like Roma Vlasov) are supporting the Kremlin actions, to always train in such conditions! You do not deserve anything better!” the Olympic champion said.
Beleniuk also met with the correspondents from the international informational agency, spoke about the Russian crimes on Ukrainian territory, asked for even more support for us, and the closure of the sky over Ukraine.
“Avangard” sports center is on Yurii Illienko street, near the TV center and TV tower. On March 1, Russian occupiers shelled the TV tower. As a result of the airstrike, five people died, and the sports center was destroyed.
