Freezing temperatures will force Russians to throw equipment or sit in 40-ton freezers - The Times

The sharp cold snap in Ukraine, which forecasters predict to happen by the end of the week, will seriously complicate the situation of Russian troops.

This was reported by the British The Times, who discussed the topic with military analysts.

Arctic air will make temperatures drop as low as minus 10C overnight , when wind chill is taken into account it could feel as cold as minus 20C.

According to interlocutors of The Times, a severe cold snap could stall Russian advances further. “Troops will be forced either to abandon their vehicles or sit in “40-tonne iron freezers,”” the newspaper said.

As reported earlier, according to estimates of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the enemy is demoralized and exhausted.

As of March 7, the Russians had lost nearly 12000 troops during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Also, the enemy's armed forces lost 303 tanks, 1036 armored combat vehicles, and 120 artillery systems.
