The leaders of both parties of the Congress of the USA have agreed to increase aid to Ukraine and its European allies to 13,6b dollars.

This was reported by the AP agency.

Last week, President Joe Biden asked Congress for 10b dollars for military, humanitarian and economic aid, but at the urging of the Democrats and the Republicans, the final figure was increased to 13,6b dollars.

Of this amount, more than 4b dollars will be received by Ukraine and Eastern European Countries to solve the problems with 2 million refugees from our country.

Other 6.7b dollars will be provided for the military assistance to Ukraine and the USA allies, the deployment of the US troops in the region, and the economic assistance to provide economic sanctions against Russia.

“The war in Europe has focused the energy of the Congress on doing something and doing that quickly,” – the Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer said.

The Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, in turn, said that thanks to these funds, Poland will receive loan guarantees for the purchase of fighter aircrafts, instead of those it is ready to give to Ukraine. “It was difficult to get the Democrats to agree on the part of defense spending, - he noted. – But this is an important step. It must be passed quickly. It is important to be passed quickly”.

As reported earlier, yesterday the Polish government approved the transfer of all its MiG-29 fighter aircrafts claimed by Ukraine to the United States.

Instead, the United States said that they do not consider Poland’s offer viable. “The prospect of the fighter aircrafts at the disposal of the US government leaving the US-NATO base in Germany and flying to Ukraine, which is at war with Russia, is a matter of concern to the entire Alliance,” – the Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the partners to stop “ping-pong” regarding the issue of providing fighter aircrafts to Ukraine and eventually transfer the fighter aircrafts.
