The Russian government fired eight generals and changed war tactics in Ukraine. The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksiy Danilov, announced this today on a joint telemarathon.

He said that today in Russia the plans have changed since the beginning of the war, which they wanted to finish in 2-3 days and "march on Khreshchatyk."

"It did not happen, and it will never happen. Moreover, they [Russians] have now switched to a different tactic. They have changed leadership. Around eight generals were removed from their positions because they did not fulfill the task. Now new ones have been appointed," Danilov said.

According to Danilov, what is happening now in Russia can be called "despair"; the evidence of which is the changed rhetoric of propagandists.

"Even people like Soloviyov and many other scoundrels are taking a step back, starting to think about "what is wrong," and that "we did not think that this is a nation," that "they are so united," etc.," said the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

Danilov also added that on Tuesday, 8 March 2022, the US Congress heard from intelligence agencies about the situation in Ukraine, "and they all said in their forecasts that victory would be ours."

On the night of 24 February 2022, Russian troops crossed the Ukrainian border in the north, south, and east and simultaneously attacked 16 Ukrainian cities from the air. The world community, including the United States, Japan, and the European Union, has implemented a series of sanctions against Russia, but the Russian military remains in Ukraine, attacking civilians.
