The biggest US bank JPMorgan is stepping away from Russia

US largest Bank JPMorgan ceases operations in Russia and completes its obligations. This was reported by Bloomberg, citing an official statement from the bank.

"In compliance with directives by governments around the world, we have been actively unwinding Russian business and have not been pursuing any new business in Russia. Current activities are limited, including helping global clients address and close out preexisting obligations; managing their Russian-related risk; acting as a custodian to our clients, "the statement said.

JPMorgan's direct influence on Russia is small. The country is not among the 20 companies with the highest risks outside the United States. According to experts, the cessation of banking operations in the country can take more than a year. However, JPMorgan became the second Wall Street giant to announce its exit from the Russian market.
