The Russians want to land in Odessa. It was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov.
According to him, the threat from the sea for Odessa is not new: an attempt to land from the sea was planned three or four days ago. However, due to bad weather, the enemy moved away to occupied Sevastopyl and now is returning.
"Now there is a great desire to start landing in Odessa and Odessa region. But they are expected there, and there will be no easy walk for them. We understand what is happening there. The situation there is under control, there is someone to meet them," - the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council added.
On March 10, squadrons of the Russian Black Sea Fleet moved away from Odessa to the occupied Crimea and postponed the landing on the Odessa coast.
On March 12, the SSU detained an agent in Odessa who had been recruited by Russia's intelligence service during a visit to the temporarily occupied Crimea. His main task was to gather information about the defensive structures that the self-defense forces set up in the region.
