If China supports Russia, the Third World War will be inevitable, said the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council

The world must realize that the war in Ukraine is the beginning of the Third World War.

This was the statement of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov in an interview with NV.

"If someone thinks that they will be able to stay aside, they live in illusions and do not understand what Putin's rashism is, what modern Russia is,” - he indicated.

Commenting on the American media reports about the possibility of China's support for Russia, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council noted that this would lead to catastrophic consequences.

"If China decides [to support] Russia with military aid, then World War III will be inevitable," he said. - In addition, we saw that all Chinese companies collapsed, following Russian ones, on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. If the Chinese leadership believes that they [want to share] their fate with Russia, then it is their right. They will have to fight the whole world. "

As a reminder, the Financial Times reported that Russia had asked China for military assistance to continue the invasion of Ukraine. The FT also claims that the United States has informed its allies in Europe and Asia that China has "shown openness" to provide military support to Russia in its invasion of Ukraine.

A seven-hour meeting between Yang Jiechi and US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan took place in Rome on March 14.

"We have made it very clear to Beijing, publicly and privately, that such support (of Russia's aggression - LB.ua) will have consequences," said State Department spokesman Ned Price.

In turn, Yang Jiechi said that the situation in Ukraine has reached a point China would not like to be witness to.
