More than 3 million Ukrainians left the territory of Ukraine - UN

More than 3 million Ukrainians left the territory of Ukraine due to the war, the data published by the UN suggests. According to the information from United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, most Ukrainians went to the border with Poland - almost 2 million people. 

In general, the flow of Ukrainian refugees dispersed the following way: 

Poland - according to the government’s data, as of March 15, there were 1,830,711 people; Romanis - according to the government’s data as of March 14, there were 459,485 people; Moldova - according to the government’s data as of March 14, there were 337,215 people; Hungary - according to the government’s data as of March 15, there were 267,570 people, Slovakia - according to the government’s data as of March 14, there were 213,000 people; Russian Federation - according to the government’s data as of March 14, there were 142,994 people; Belarus - according to the government’s data as of March 14, there were 1,475 people. 

UNICEF reported that 1.5 million children left Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24. Practically, every second child is leaving Ukraine, the fund said. 

“Each day in the last 20 days in Ukraine, more than 70 thousand children become refugees. This means that 55 children are fleeing the country each minute,” James Elder, UNICEF spokesperson, said.
