The Russian army launched an artillery strike on the Sviatoshyno district of the capital. As for the moment, the death of one person is confirmed.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, at about 16:30 on 17 March 2022, Rescue Service 101 received several reports of fires in the Sviatoshyno district of the capital.
As a result of shelling, two cars caught fire. At 17:04, the fire was extinguished.
"Unfortunately, one person died," rescuers said.
Also, 5,000-square-foot grass flooring caught fire nearby. Elimination of the fire continues.
"Another call came to the warehouses where the shell hit, resulting in a fire in an area of 3,000 square meters. There is a threat of a shell explosion; the firefighters extinguish the fire from a safe distance. Elimination continues," - said the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
According to preliminary information, one person died in the fire.
