Since the beginning of the war, the Ukrainian military has shoot down about 100 enemy planes, reported by the Spokesman of the Command of Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Hnat in his interview for RBC-Ukraine.
As such, Ukrainian military aviation has destroyed almost a quarter of Russian planes and a half of Russian helicopters.
They have changed their tactics because they are facing enormous losses. If the new data is confirmed, we will soon have a "jubilee" of 100 downed planes (they had a total of 450 planes in the beginning of the war); for helicopters we have already reached this jubilee number (there was a total of 250 helicopters)", - said Hnat.
Hnat added that our strike aviation and artillery are successfully working on their (ed. - Russian) air defense, having destroyed about fifty units, and captured some.
Today about 8:15 AM in the Buchansky area of the Kyiv region, air defense units of the Land Forces of Ukraine brought down the enemy Su-34 fighter-bomber.
