Houses in Odessa damaged after shelling from occupants’ ships (updated)

As a result of the morning enemy shelling from ship artillery, several households in Odesa were damaged.

The spokesman of the Operational Headquarters of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Serhiy Bratchuk said.

No one was injured.

Updated. The shells hit at least two homes on the coast around 6 PM. Bratchuk told Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

A residential complex and a small private house were damaged. Some shells hit the ground. The attack was launched from two ships.

Locals were hiding in the covered parking lot of the residential complex - the air alarm went off about half an hour before the hits.

“The enemy is pressing with missile strikes, pressing psychologically, because nothing works out with Ukraine. He perishes but has a lot of iron, so he shoots,” Bratchuk stated.

As reported earlier, on 16 March the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed information that the Russian ships were moving towards Odesa.
