More than 3 million Ukrainians have been forced to move to European countries since the start of the full-scale war unleashed by Russia.
11-12 million citizens became internally displaced persons. This was announced on Twitter by the adviser to the head of the President's Office Mykhailo Podoliak.
"Just realize this figure. Russia is destroying the lives of millions of people. Isn’t it a global humanitarian catastrophe yet?", - Mr Podoliak wrote.

Earlier, the homeowners who sheltered for free Ukrainians, who had fled the places of active hostilities, will receive approximately UAH 450 per month per person to reimburse utility costs.
The algorithm for obtaining compensation is as follows:
Persons who have housing and are ready to give shelter should inform the local authorities about their readiness to accept internally displaced people. To do this, a person has to apply to the local government and provide the necessary information. This information can also be provided through the website “Pryhystok”, and in the future it will be possible to do so through the application "Diia".
Thus, local governments will begin to form a register of housing available for placement. This will accommodate as many people as possible. The ministry stressed that the resettlement will take place only with the consent of homeowners.
