One of the priorities of the MFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) of Ukraine is to put pressure on those companies that remain operating in the Russian market.
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba.
"To be honest, not all of them leave the Russian market voluntarily. Some are actively encouraged, some are forced to leave. This is one of the priorities of my work and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' work. Currently, our most problematic companies are Nestle, Unilever, and companies that manufacture household chemicals, which all of us got used to. We will now work with TetraPack; everyone knows packages; basically, all the foods are preserved in packages.
He also said that the Ministry sent relevant letters to the French companies Auchan and Leroy Merlin, which refused to cease operations in Russia. Leroy Merlin's employee died due to the shelling of a shopping center in the Podilskyi district of Kyiv.
Kuleba said some companies are asking not to mention or not to criticize them publicly.
"I want to say that we will name these companies. They address us: "It is possible that you do not criticize us publically. We can reach an agreement." We say no, if you stay, you will be named. Everyone in the whole world will know that you make money on Ukrainian blood. We have a very tough and uncompromising position, "Dmytro Kuleba said.
The minister also appealed to the American company Johnson & Johnson to leave the Russian market.
"Refusing to leave Russia, Johnson & Johnson preferred blood profits. Their taxes allow the Russian military machine to kill innocent Ukrainian men, women, children and the elderly. Johnson & Johnson needs to change its mind. Do what needs to be done. Choose humanity, not war crimes, "he wrote.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine forced the German company Bosch to stop cooperation with the Russian Federation.
