All NPPs in Ukraine are Working, the Radiation is Normal

As of 09:00 on 21 March 2022, all four operating nuclear power plants in Ukraine steadily continue to generate electricity.

This is stated in the Telegram channel of NNEGC "Energoatom".

Their total current capacity provides the necessary amounts of electricity for the needs of the country.

Radiation state, fire and ecological conditions at the industrial sites of NPPs and adjacent territories have not changed and are within current standards.

In the conditions of martial law and full-scale aggression of Russia, Energoatom strengthened its control and determined the exclusive priority of safety issues at nuclear facilities over all others.

"The main equipment of the reactor compartments of power units, premises and buildings of power plants, the perimeters of protected areas and adjacent areas, as well as particularly important NPP facilities outside their protected areas are under increased supervision and control," the statement said.

Zaporizhzhya NPP and the city of Energodar were captured by the occupiers and have been under the control of enemy military formations for 17 days.

Damaged as a result of enemy shelling, the high-voltage transmission line of ZNPP-Kakhovka 750 kV, through which electricity is supplied from the ZNPP, has been restored, and it ensures the stable operation of ZNPP.

All 6 power units of Zaporizhzhya NPP are serviced by Ukrainian personnel, and they can be rotated. Formally, the occupiers do not interfere in the work of nuclear power plants, but staff are forced to coordinate all technical solutions with the commander of the invaders. Employees of the station are under strong psychological pressure from the occupiers, as all staff on arrival at the station are carefully checked by armed terrorists. As a result, nuclear and radiation safety are in danger.

Due to the actual blockade of Energodar, there continue to be problems with fuel, food and essential medicines. The day before yesterday evening, 19 March 2022, the occupiers kidnapped the first deputy mayor of Energodar Ivan Samoidyuk, who coordinated all humanitarian aid to the city and did not agree to cooperate with the enemy.

It is also known that the power units of Rivne NPP are operating normally

The main equipment of the existing power units and personnel are operating normally. There were no violations of the boundaries and conditions of safe operation.

Yesterday, 20 March 2022, at the end of the day the staff of the Chornobyl NPP was partially rotated and people who were on the territory of the occupied station were evacuated.
