Fighters of the Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine killed three representatives of a separate brigade of the operational purpose of the Russian National Guard, the largest unit of Russian troops based in Chechnya.

This was reported in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"This unit was established in 2000 to fight the Chechnya resistance forces that were at war with the Kremlin," the military said.

Among the trophies won by Ukrainian fighters were an undamaged armored personnel carrier-80 and weapons: machine guns, submachine guns and a Dragunov sniper rifle with ammunition.

On 24 March, in Chornobayivka, Ukrainian soldiers killed the commander of the 49th Army of the Russian Federation, Yakov Rezantsev.

Today the aggressor suffered significant losses under the city of Izyum; two Russian planes were also shot down.
